Effie M. Cramer , 97, of Kickapoo died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at her residence.

Born March 1, 1907, in Monmouth to George and Effie Ruse Earp, she married George P. Cramer on Nov. 25, 1937, in Peoria. He died Jan. 23, 1979, in Peoria.

She also was preceded in death by one granddaughter, five brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are three sons, George (and Linda) and Robert (and Ann), both of Kickapoo, and Michael (and Pamela) of Washington; two daughters, Clarita (and Gerald) Anderson of Kickapoo and Sister Patricia Cramer of St. Louis; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Kickapoo and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a former member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was the oldest living relative of Wyatt Earp.

A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at her church. The Rev. Patrick Riordan will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at her church parish hall, with recitation of the rosary at 7:45 p.m. Additional visitation will be 30 minutes before services at the church. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Kickapoo. Wright & Salmon Mortuary in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to her church building fund or to the Sisters of St. Joseph Carondelet in St. Louis.
