Daughter of Thomas Mack and Etta Arnold

NEW ALBANY - Saraline Elizabeth Arnold Abernethy, 85, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005, at her home. She was born July 18, 1920, in New Albany to the late Thomas Mack and Etta Anderson Arnold. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Methodist Church. She was the widow of Samuel Graham Abernethy.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at United Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Creighton White and the Rev. Leslie Nabors officiating. Burial will be in Gerizim Cemetery in Myrtle.

Survivors include two daughters, Iris Sappington and Linda Haynes Droke, both of New Albany; three grandchildren, John Haynes IV, Teresa Haynes Stanford and Sharon Haynes Brinkman; seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Sandy Dye, Randy Dunnam, Bruce Cole, Danny Parker, Joe Reed and Bill Frosinotes.

Visitation will be from noon to service time Saturday.
