ELLIOTT, Charles A. - Age 73, a resident of Gary, Indiana passed away Wednesday, January 21, 1987.

Survivors: wife, Mary; 7 stepchildren, Lois Blount of Washington, Earl (Theresa) ELLIOTT of Vincennes, Indiana, Sue (Randall) McCarthy of Gary, Wallace (Diane) Taylor of Griffith, Larry (Wendie) Taylor of Arizona, Shelia (Walter) DAVIS of Gary; 20 step grandchildren; 23 step great grandchildren; 4 brothers, Clarence (Martha) of Princeton, Indiana, Lawrence (Jennie), Arthur (Earlene) both of Michigan, Clyde (Elise) of Dangola, Illinois; 5 sisters, Hazel Isham of Three Rivers, Michigan, Minerva DAVIS of Hopkins, Michigan, Mary (Walter) ALLEN of Princeton, Indiana, Gladys Johnson of Battlecreek, Michigan, Alice (Carl) Evans of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Mr. ELLIOTT was preceded in death by his daughter Mildred (Ray) Hicks of Gary.

Funeral services Saturday, January 24, 1987 at 10 a.m. from the Dellenbach Funeral Home, 2580 Colfax St., Gary (Black Oak), Rev Frank Worthington officiating.

Burial Ridgelawn Cemetery. Visitation Friday, January 23rd from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

Mr. ELLIOTT was a retired employee of Lake Ridge Schools and a member of the Ross Baptist Church.

Charles A. ELLIOTT, 73,died Jan. 21, 1987, at St. Anthony's Hospital at Crown Point, Ind.

He was born Jan. 30, 1913 in Patoka and resided in Princeton before moving to Gary, Ind. ELLIOTT was a retired employee of Lake Ridge Schools of Gary and a member of the Ross Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his first wife, Nettie; his parents John and Emma (SLAUGHTERBACK) ELLIOTT; a stepdaughter, Mildred Hicks; and a brother Horace.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; a foster son Robert ELLIOTT of Hephzibah, Ga.; four brothers, Clarence 'Joe' of Patoka, Lawrence of Petosky, Mich., George 'Art' of Richland, Mich., and Clyde of Dongola, Ill.; five sisters, Hazel Isham of Three Rivers, Mich., Minerva DAVIS of Hopkins, Mich., Gladys Johnson of Battle Creek, Mich., Alice Evans of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Mary ALLEN of Princeton; several nieces and nephews; and six stepchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Jan. 24 in Gary with burial in the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary.
