BAXTER -Funeral services for Odell Herren Clemons, 71, of Baxter were conducted today, August 6, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial was in the Crest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Clemons died Sunday (August 5, 1990) at Cookeville General Hospital.
Daughter of the late Oscar and Delina Randolph Herren, she was born August 29, 1918 in Putnam County.
Mrs. Clemons was a retired employee of Acme Boot Company and a member of the Church of Christ.
Her family includes one son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Alice Clemons of Baxter; one sister, Orna Henry of Cookeville; five brothers and sisters-in-1aw, Arvil and Pauline Herren, L.V. and Marie Herren and James and Jo Ann Herren, a1l of Cookeville, Charles and Lora Herren of Edgewater, Florida, and Odis and Louise Herren of Dayton, Ohio; five grandchildren, Jack and Todd Clemons, Robin Parker, Sandra Holloway and Ken Birdwell.
Clemons was preceded in death by her husband, Georgie Clemons.
Grandsons and nephews served as pallbearers.
Glenn B. Ramsey officiated at the services.
