Arvel E. Herren, 91, of Cookeville, passed away Nov. 20, 2005.
Herren was born Oct. 29, 1914, in Putnam County, to Oscar Herren and Delina Randolph Herren.
He was a member of Willow Ave. Church of Christ, a retired self-employed carpenter and a trades instructor in the 50s at Baxter Seminary.
Herren was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles Herren; and one sister, Odell Clemons.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Pauline Henry Herren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James Herren and wife Joann, L.V. Herren and wife Marie, all of Cookeville, and Odis Herren and wife Louise, of Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Orna Henry, of Cookeville; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: Services were 2 p.m., Nov. 22, 2005, at Dyer Funeral Home with burial in Cookeville City Cemetery. Bro. Carl Sims officiated.
