COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Orna Bell Henry, 94, of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today, Sunday, Aug. 21, and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Henry died Saturday morning, Aug. 20, 2011, at her home.
She was born Aug. 31, 1916, in Putnam County to the late Oscar and Samantha Delina Randolph Herren.
Mrs. Henry was a member of Willow Avenue Church of Christ and a homemaker. She worked at the shirt factory in Cookeville and Sparta in her younger days, and then was a stay-at-home mom, taking care of her family, moving from Tennessee to Mississippi and Texas and returning to Tennessee in 1976.
Her family would like to thank the 4th Floor nurses at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, Avalon Hospice and the care she received from NHC home health care and the meals program at Willow Avenue Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Henry (whom she married April 7, 1943, in White County); a sister, Odell Clemmons; and four brothers, Arvel Herren, Odis Herren, L.V. Herren and Charles Herren.
