Attended Graceland College in Lamoni, Ia. for two years. Moved to Rock Island, Ill. in 1937. Married Dorothy Fay Couch (1921-1995) on Nov. 15, 1941 in Missouri. Sold cars at Miller-Piehl Lincoln-Mercury in Rock Island Ill. until Oct. 1957 when he moved his family to California. Sold cars at McClure Lincoln-Mercury in Anaheim, Ca. until his death in 1962 from cancer. He served as Master of Rock Island Masonic Lodge #658 A.F.& A.M. in 1956, 32nd degree at Moline, Ill. Scottish Rite Temple and noble of the Tabala Shrine Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. in Rockford, Ill.
His children are Larry Ray McNeal (1943-2010), Judy Fay McNeal Burlingham, Tarry Ray McNeal and Valarie Fay McNeal Smith. Ray died at age 45.
