Mrs. Kubale was born February 4, 1897 in the Town of Rockland, one of twenty-one
children of John and Catherine Strouf Novak. She married William Kubale on July 1, 1919. He preceded her in death on November 24, 1924, leaving her with three small sons. On November 7, 1927 she married Joseph Kubale and together they operated a tavern in Reedsville until his death on November 21, 1951. Mrs. Kubale was a lifelong member of St. Mary Parish, Reedsville, charter member of St. Anne Christian Mothers Society, past president of Catholic Knights Branch No. 80, Kubale-O'Connell V.F.W. Auxiliary Post No. 6179, Gosz-Novak American Legion
Auxiliary Post No. 199, and past member of Gold Star Mothers.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence and Dorothy and Robert and Frances of Green Bay, William and Harriette of Rochelle, Illinois, and Bernard and Mary of Milwaukee; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathryn and Willard Coonen of Brillion, Dorothy and Ronald Reinke and Barbara and Robert Muelemans of Reedsville; a sister, Julia Stengl of Antigo; 23 grandchildren, 8 great
grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, first born son, Lt. Edward Kubale who was killed in action in World War II on April 8, 1944, two grandchildren, eight sisters, eleven brothers including her
twin brother, Joseph.
Friends may call at Wieting Funeral Home, Reedsville, after 4 pm Tuesday until
10 am Wednesday when family rites will be held; V.F.W. service at 7 pm Tuesday
evening, parish vigil at 8 pm conducted by Father John Becker and American Legion
Auxiliary Service at 8:30 pm.
