"Malvern"-Mabel Rodgers Langston,74, of Malvern passed away Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999, at Hot Springs. She was born Oct. 22, 1925 at Hot Springs to the late Henry T. and Leoma Trussell Rodgers. She was a retired secretary for the Magnet Cove Elementary School, a member of the Meadowview Missionary Baptist Church, Faith Sunday Class and enjoyed volunteer work. She was married May 20, 1950 to Samuel W. "Bo" Langston who preceded her in death August 19, 1996.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Everett A., Oran A., Norval A., and Rufus Rodgers and her sisters, Marie Lankford, Lydia Tooley and Lillie Parker. Survivors include her son, two daughters; and her three grandchildren.
Funeral services were, Friday December 17, in the Meadowview Missionary Baptist Church by Bro. Fred Etheridge and Bro. Ben Palmer. Burial will in Price Cemetery by Atkinson Funeral Home, Malvern.
Memorials may be made to Meadowview Missionary Baptist Church, American Diabetes Association, Alzheimer's Day Care, the Caring Place, Hot Springs. Visitation Thursday, Dec. 16 7-8 p.m. Atkinson Funeral Home.
