Nicy Emma Sullivan, 82, died at 8:09 p.m. Monday at Oak Hill Hosiptal. She had been in ill health the last two years.

Mrs. Sullivan was born Jan. 19, 1898 at Galena and had been a resident of Joplin the last 80 years. She married W.W. Sullivan in 1939 in Joplin. He died March 17, 1978. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Carroll Adkins, Galena, KS. and six stepdaughters; Pauline Fultz, Helen Dysart, Opal Palaska, Mable McFall, Geane Bleier and Betty Emry; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sons, Roger Sullivan, Frank Adkins and Wilmot Adkins; daughter, Ruth Adkins Muenster; Stepsons Lester and Wesley Adkins and stepdaughter, Roxie Adkins Stites.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary. The Rev. Dow Booe will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
