William Walter Sullivan, 87, 915 Jackson Ave. died at 11: 55 p. m. Friday at Oak Mill Hospital where he was admitted March 4.

Mr. Sullivan was born Dec. 19, 1889, at Marionville and moved to Joplin 50 years ago. He was employed by Schulte Plumbing and Heating Co., and later by the Gas Service Co., before retiring in 1965. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

He married Nicy Hampton in 1939 in Joplin. She survives.

Additional survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Helen Dysart, Billings, Mont., Mrs. Opal Palaska, Kansas City, Mrs. Mable McFall, Sherman Oaks, Calif., Mrs. Geane Bleier, Van Nuys, Calif., and Mrs. Betty Emry, Tarzana, Calif.; a stepson, Carroll Adkins, Galena, Kan., route 2; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p. m. Monday at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary. The Rev. Dow Booe will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary.

Pallbearers will be Mike Adkins, Bob Zimmerman, Orville Howerton, Robert Howerton, Paul Howerton and Bruce Howerton.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p. m. today at the mortuary.
