Sara J. Shelton Passed Away at Crocker Sunday
Sarah Jane Shelton was born April 14, 1864 and passed away at the home in Crocker, Dec. 4, at the age of 85 years, 7 months and 20 days.
She was united in marriage to Henry Strutton on June 6, 1886 and to this union seven children were born: Will and Andy Strutton of Colorado Springs, Col., Albert Strutton, Mrs. Gracie Blanton and Mrs. Viola Lawrence of Crocker, Maggie Brumley of Oklahoma, and Alfred Sherman who passed away at the age of 4 months. She is also survived by 43 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Dec 6, at the J.L. Hoops & Sons Funeral Home by Rev. Moneymaker and burial was in the Crocker cemetery.
Daughter of Shepherd and Sarah Ann (Mashburn) Strutton.
Married 6 Jun 1886 to Henry Washington Strutton.
