Isabelle, more often known as Belle, was the daughter of Francis Marion & Sarah Elizabeth (Woodward) Roberson.

Belle didn't get married until three months before her 43rd birthday, which some would have considered an old maid. She met William "Bill" Stone, a widower, whose wife, Sarah Davis, had died in 1910. Before she died Sarah had given birth to seven children, but only five had survived: Nettie (1894), Stella (1899), Maude (1900), Julia (1904), & Luster (1906).

Belle & William were married at Mount Levi, Johnson Co, AR on July 8, 1919. Belle, no doubt with the help of William's mother, Sarah, helped raise his young children.

On February 3, 1920,
William M. age 50, & Bell, age 40, lived in Pilot Rock, Johnson Co, AR where they were renting a home & William supported them by farming. Bell had given birth to a daughter, Grace, now age 5. His children were shown as: Maud, age 18 & Luster, 13; & Grace, 5. William's mother, Sarah K., age 71, lived with them.

On April 12, 1930,
William & Belle, ages 57 & 52, owned a farm in Union Township, Newton Co, AR with his two children Maude, 30 & Grace, 16.

By 1935 Belle was living Limestone, AR.

On April 15, 1940,
Belle, age 63, a widow, lived alone on a farm on an "unimproved dirt" road in Perry, Johnson Co, AR, next to her brother, John Perry, & his family, & their 89 year old mother who lived with them.

Belle lived out the rest of her life on her farm, dying from a heart attack on Oct. 23, 1953.

The date William died is unknown. Some believe he lived to be over 100 years old.
