Nannie inherited some land from her Aunt Nannie Seawell Williams around 1918 and they moved to Moore County and built a log home, barn & smokehouse on the land. There Bob worked for the local fabric mill in Robbins, NC. Their 4th child was born while they lived in Robbins. During WWII Bob worked in Norfolk, VA and Nannie stayed in Moore County. During the 50's Bob and Nan lived and worked in Asheboro, first in an apartment at Mrs (Dr) Moore's on Sunset Ave and later in a garage apartment on South Cox Street. Sometime in the late 50's they moved back to the "farm" in Robbins where they remained (more or less) until Nannie's death. Bob spent some time with his son, Donald, in Robbins and later with his daughter, Beatrice, in Greensboro. He was living in Greensboro at the time of his death.
