MADGE NORDLUND

Madge Nordlund, 93 of Paris, died early Tuesday morning, Dec. 17, 2002 at Monroe Manor Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Agnew Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nordlund was born on Oct. 7, 1909 in Monroe County to Edgar H. and Martha E. McGinnis Shadwell. She married Marivn R. Nordlund on Dec. 8, 1934 in Hannibal, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 1987. Survivors include two daughters, Janet Williams of Paris, and Joan Shannon of Tampa, Fla.; two sons, Roland Nordlund of Crystal River, Fla. and Stan Nordlund of Palmyra, Va.; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and three sisters Enid Crim of Hannibal, Sybil Jeannie Chapman of Paris and Faye Smith of Tucson, Ariz. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

She was a home maker and worked for J. C. Penney's. Memorials can be made to the Paris Fire Department, Monroe Manor, Walnut Grove Cemetery and American Heart Association.
