MOOERS FORKS — Pliny E. Soden, 87, a life-long resident of Mooers, died at Physicians Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Soden was born in Mooers Forks on Aug. 3, 1878, son of John and Celestine [sic, Celesta] (Emerson) Soden. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth of Mooers and Raymond of Mooers Forks; a sister, Mrs. Harry Morah of Bainbridge; a brother, William Soden of Mooers Forks, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home, Plattsburgh, followed by interment in Union Cemetery at Mooers Forks.
The body is at the Walker Funeral Home, where calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
