I am a grandson of John Elbert Decker and Johanna Newman (Nyman). My
mother Lavina Florence Decker was their last born child. Here is some genealogy

to James "Jim" and Emily Wells-Decker. James Elbert Decker married Johannah
Newman March 31, 1901 in Billmore, MO. Jo Hannah Newman was born July 6, 1884 in
Billmore, Oregon County, MO. to Charles Deanin Newman, born 1840, in Stockholm,
Sweden and Nancy Jane Young, born April, 1847 in Arkansas to Evaline Haskin and
William W. Young. John Elbert Decker died December 20, 1950 in Edmond, Oklahoma
and was buried in the Grace Lawn Cemetery in Edmond, Oklahoma, memorial
#55724567. Johannah Newman-Decker died June 5, 1941 in Edmond, Oklahoma and was
buried in the Grace Lawn Cemetery in Edmond, OK, memorial #55695190.

Birdel "Birdie" Decker-Brice, born 1890 in Pocahontas, Randolph County, AR to
James "Jim" and Emily Wells-Knox. Married to William H. Brice, b. December 21,
1888. He operated a pharmacy in Oklahoma City. She played violin with the
Oklahoma City Symphony in the 1940-1950's. They lived on No. West 45th Street,
Oklahoma City 8in the 1950's. William and Birdie appeared on the 1930 Census in
Oklahoma City.

Birdel "Birdie" died December 27, 1962 at age 71 in Oklahoma City. Birdie and
William Brice were members of the Methodist Church. She was survived by a
brother, Filmore C. Decker of Big Springs, Texas and a daughter, Mrs. Lorene
Burns Richardson, Texas. Birdie was buried in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Her

Decker and I used to visit "Birdie" 1952-1957 in Oklahoma City.

William H. Brice died September 6, 1960 and was buried next to Birdie in the
