Ralph H. Begner, 83, of 203 N. Fourth St. died at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, 1995, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.

Born May 20, 1912, in Princeville to William and Marie Mangold Begner, he married Helen Bouton on Nov. 23, 1937, in Davenport, Iowa. She survives.

Also surviving are six sons, Lyle W. of Princeville, Robert L. of Peoria, Jack E., Terry R. and Karl R, all of Dunlap, and Nyle K. of Elmwood; one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Imogene) Tanner of Speer; two brothers, Edwin and John, both of Princeville; 21 grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren. Two granddaughters, six brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

He was a farmer for many years. He then was a forklift driver for Allied Mills in Bartonville for 27 years, retiring in 1961. He then worked as a part-time custodian for Dunlap High School for many years.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home in Princeville. The Rev. Harry Losey will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Princeville.
