Mrs. Alice McDermott Massey, 89, died Monday in a Janesville nursing home. She had been a resident of this city for many years. The former Alice Armstrong was born March 28, 1879, in Darlington.
Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Jake Stadler, Janesville, Mrs. Elizabeth Roberts, and Mrs. Max Crow, Madison; Mrs. John Koelsch, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mrs. W.C. Larson, Cottage Grove, and Mrs. Walter Powell, Hill Point; a son, Gerald McDermott, Minneapolis, Minn.; 37 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Harriet Howe, Beloit.
Services will be at 11 am tomorrow in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Darlington, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call tonight at the Steil Funeral Home, Darlington. Nelson Schneider Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Darlington- Mrs. Alice McDermott Massey, 89, Janesville, formerly of Darlington, died Monday ( Jan. 13, 1969) in a Janesville nursing home after a long illness.
Surviving in Madison are two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Roberts and Mrs. Max Crow.
The funeral will be at 11 am Wednesday in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Darlington. Friends may call after 3 pm today at the Steil Funeral Home, Darlington.
