Funeral services were held for Mrs. Martha Biehunko former resident of Moulton Thursday, March 23 1961 at 9:45 a.m. from the Smith Funeral Home. They continued at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Father Michael O'Shaughnessy officiating at the Requiem High Mass.
Mrs. Biehunko was born in Lavaca County March 27, 1895 the daughter of the former Henry and Amelia (Gertner) Pohler. She had been a resident of the Moulton community most of her life where she was a member of the Christian Mothers Society. For the past year she lived in Houston with her daughters. She passed away in the Baptist memorial Hospital in Houston on Tuesday March 21, 1961 at the age of 65 years, 11 months, and 24 days.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Hiram (Diana) Bunce, Mrs. Glen (Gracie) Brady, Mrs. Guy (Ruby) Bridwell, at Houston, Mrs. Virginia Sweeny of san Antonio; two brothers, Richard Pohler of Moulton and Henry Pohler of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Frieda Fischnar of Shiner and Mrs. Gus (Della) Aschenbeck of Houston; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, one son Milton, who died in 1922 and one brother, Hugo Pohler of Shiner, who died Jan. 13, 1958, preceded her in death.
