Funeral services for Mrs. Emile Pohler, wife of Henry Pohler Sr. who died in Shiner on Tuesday, December 9, 1930, was held from the family home at Moulton, Thursday morning, December 11, with internment in the Moulton Catholic Cemetery, Rev. Joseph Knopp officiating.
The pallbearers were: Vince Hoepfl, Herman Hirsch, A. J. Elister. Rudolf Fillip, F. L. Filipp and F. P. Raab.
Mrs. Pohler, nee Gertner, aged 61 years, 8 months, 7 days, was born in German Austria March 22, 1869. She came to Texas in 1880 and located in Flatonia. On December 28, 1886 she married Henry Pohler and located in Shiner, removing to Komensky, in 1903 and to Moulton in 1913.
Surviving are her husband and six children: Richard Pohler of Moulton, Hugo Pohler and Mrs. Arthur Fischnar of Shiner, Mrs. Adolf Darilek of San Antonio, Henry Pohler Jr. and Mrs. Gus Aschenbeck of Houston, 13 grandchildren and one sister Mrs. John Wenske, of Moulton.
