Melissa Meggitt Dies at Age of 72.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary for Mrs. Melissa Buchheim MEGGITT, 72, 1030 Jackson, who died Friday at a Lyndon nursing home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 18, 1894, at Stoutland, Mo., and had lived in Topeka more than 25 years. She operated a rooming house.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Trinity White Shrine, Topeka Chapter No. 462 of Order of Eastern Star, and Capital Court No. 5 of the Supreme Council, Order of Amaranth.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Belle CASEBIER, 2145 Virginia, Mrs. Ollie JORDAN, Rockport, Mass., and Bernice STROUD, Kansas City, Kan.; and two brothers, Plato STROUD, Granite Falls, Wash., and Ansel Stroud, Kansas City, Kan.
