Walter K. Berry, 85, of McAlester, died Thursday, July 1, 2010, at McAlester Regional Heath Center. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bishop Chapel of Memories with the Rev. James Collins officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, McAlester, under direction of Bishop Funeral Service.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Berry. Husband of Wanda Ferrante. Attended McAlester High School. Entered Navy in 1943. Trained in San Diego, CA. Served in Phillippines. Awarded PL, 1 Star, AP and AT Ribbons. Discharged in 1945.
