Eula Virginia Choate, 73, of Amarillo and formerly of Panhandle, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church of Panhandle with Dr. Jim Perkins of the church officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery in Panhandle by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce St.

Mrs. Choate was born in Booneville, Miss. She moved to Panhandle in 1952 and then to Amarillo in 1998. She was a homemaker and a Stanley Home Products representative for 35 years.

She married Brooks Choate in 1945 at Dell, Ark. He died in 1988.

Survivors include two sons, Marion Leon Choate of San Angelo and Robert Brooks Choate Jr., of Amarillo; two daughters, Virginia Ann Hamilton of Amarillo and Ada Louise Calhoun of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Corean Thomas of Amarillo and Allie Holder of Winston Salem, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family will be at 6040 W. Interstate 40, No. 280 G. On Monday, they will be at 1410 Franklin in Panhandle.

The family suggests memorials be to American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association or the First Baptist Church of Panhandle.

Viewing will be from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
