Mrs. Elizabeth Scheef died at her home in Mattoon Sunday of cancer of the stomach, with which she had long been a sufferer. She was the sister of J. J. Falk of Strasburg and of John Falk of Herborn; also she was the mother of Mrs. Martin Kull , Mrs. William Kull and Mrs. George Kull , all of this community. Henry H. Scheef of Mattoon, whose wife was Hilda Kull of Strasburg, is a son. Mrs. Scheef lived near Herborn for many years, moving to Mattoon 17 years ago. She was 63 years old and was a member of the Lutheran Church. Funeral services were held at the home in Mattoon by her pastor, the Rev. J. C. Schuelke of Mattoon, Tuesday afternoon. All of the relatives named above, except John Falk, were in attendance; also Mrs. T. A. Weber, Elmer and Eva Falk, Martin Kull, W. E. and George Kull. Burial was at Stewardson Wednesday.
