Jessie Pauline Marlatt, the daughter of Henry and Luella Marlatt, was born 11 February 1885 at Inland, Nebraska.She passed away 26 September 1955 at Inland, Nebraska, at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 15 days.

She was married to Howard H. Dungan of the Newark Community on 12 April 1905.

Except for seven years spent in San Diego, California and about seven years spent in Kearney, Mrs Dungan spent most of her life on the farm at Newark. She joined the Methodist Church, and was an active member for about 40 years. She was also a member of several organizations, including the Royal Neighbors Auxiliary.

Her Christian activities and helpful actions endeared her to all she contacted. She leaves a host of friends in California and Nebraska to mourn her passing.

She is survived by her husband, Howard H. Dungan; four sons, Floyd of San Diego, California, Kenneth of Denver, Colorado, Clifford of Casper, Wyoming and Howard Jr. of San Diego; eleven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren, eight brothers, Fred Marlatt of Wyoming, Glenn, Harley and Roy of Yoder, Wyoming, Bryon and Lloyd of Hawk Springs, Wyoming, and Jack and Irwin of Pacific Beach, California; five sisters, Mrs Bessie Truax, of Oroville, Washington, Mrs Harriett Howery and Katie Gillespie of Yoder, Wyoming, Clara Smith of Hawk Springs, Wyoming and Ruth Case of Mitchell, Nebraska. Her step-mother, Mrs Arene Marlatt lives at Hawk Springs, Wyoming.

A son and a daughter preceded her in death.
