Mae was born Aug. 12, 1902, near Albany, Oregon. She married Clair Pepperd Aug. 2, 1930 at Berkeley, CA. They adopted one son, William Jonathon Pepperd. Mae's principle avocations were with garden clubs and flower arranging. She served as president of the clubs when she lived in Binghamton and Nanuet, NY. One of her arrangements achieved prominence in 1967 as a feature of the annual calendar of the National Association of Garden Clubs. In October 1976 she and Clair moved back to his hometown of Coldwater, KS. where she lived the rest of her life.
