Ed was born in Louisville township, KS and was baptized at St. Joseph's Catholic Chuerch at Flush, KS. He never married. He lived most of his life in Arizona, near Tucson, where he owned and operated Arizona's largest bee ranch for more than 25 years. He did research for the University of Arizona on reptiles and birds becoming an authority in this field. When he retired he lived for a while in Newport Beach, CA. About 1960 he moved to Alnany, Oregon, to live with his sister, Elizabeth Weisner Morris, where he died.
