Michael Zimmer, 86, Jacobs Prairie JACOBS PRAIRIE Michael J. Zimmer, 86, died Sunday at Assumption Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Cold Spring.

The Rev. Roger Klassen will officiate. Burial will be in St. James Parish Cemetery.

Michael Zimmer was born Dec.10, 1905, in St. Joseph to Michael and Mary (Himsl) Zimmer. He married Dorothy Taufen July 3, 1937, in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Joseph, and had been employed by Cold Spring Granite Co. 44 years and farmed in the Jacobs Prairie area. He was a member of St. James Men's Society and St. Boniface Catholic School Board, Cold Spring, for many years. Survivors include his wife; sons, Charles, Brooklyn Park; James, Fridley; Michael, Jacobs Prairie; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Agnes Kosel, Sister Ruth Mary, OSB, Leo, Roman, Mathew and Alfred. Pallbearers will be his son, Michael, and nephews. Memorials are preferred.
