Edward Nell Conover died on Thursday, May 10, at the hospital here. The son of the late William Henry and Sarah Elizabeth Stapp Conover of Adair County, he was 80 years old. He was known as "Mister Edd." His first wife, Fannie Atchley, preceded him in death. In 1950 he married Janice Kimble, who survives.

Besides his wife, he is survived by the following children, Benny, Garlin; Coy, Mrs. Bessie Huckaby, and Mrs. Faye Blankenship, Russell Springs; Kenneth, Danville; Mrs. Annie Huckaby and Mrs. Ida Mae Clifton, Cincinnati; and Mrs. Beatrice Richards, Mansfield, Ill.; two brothers, Ruford and Ben, and three sisters, Mrs. Cora Bailey and Misses Ida and Alice, all of Russell Springs, 28 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

The Reverend Henry Perdue, assisted by Reverend S.B. Rowe, conducted the funeral services on Saturday, May 21, at Russell Springs Methodist Church. Interment was in the Conover family cemetery in Adair County with funeral arrangements by Rippetoe Funeral Home.

Pall-bearers were Leon Grider, Kermit Grider, Larry Huckaby, Lawson Huckaby, Ernie Blankenship, Ronnie Huckaby.
