James L. "Jim" Armstrong, age 72, of Lewisburg, Ohio, Ohio went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Born on May 24, 1938 in Preble County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Lester S. & Dorothy Mae (O'Dell) Armstrong. Jim proudly served in the U. S. Army from 1961 to 1963 and in the Ohio National Guard. Jim loved the Cincinnati Reds especially Pete Rose and spending time with his family and friends.

Preceded in death by brother: Richard Armstrong in 1997; sisters Delores Rhoades in 1998 and Peggy E. Ashley in 2007.

Survived by son, Derek J. Armstrong and Nicole of Illinois; brothers & sister-in-law: Gary "Bud" Armstrong, Dean Armstrong and Stanley & Rose Armstrong all of Eaton, Ohio; sisters & brothers-in-law: Connie & Terry Beasley of Eaton, Ohio, Carol Armstrong of Richmond, Indiana and Charlene & George Maurer of Clayton, Ohio; granddaughters, Hailee and Ariana; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 12:00 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio 45320 with Rev. Jack Moore officiating. Interment will be in Mound Hill Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
