Georgia R. Holcomb

SANGER – Georgia Rahe Holcomb, 74, of Sanger, passed away on Friday, September 04, 2009 in Denton, Texas.

She was born on January 16, 1935 in Camey, Texas to Richard G. and Willie Inez (Watson) Freed. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sanger and held a dual membership with the Order of the Eastern Star in the Pilot Point Chapter 1025 and the Sanger Chapter 1027. She served as the Past Worthy Matron of the Pilot Point Chapter.

She was the Records Supervisor of the Lewisville Police Department until her retirement.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Coker Funeral Home in Sanger, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 6, 2009, at the First Baptist Church in Sanger with Dr. E. L. McNeal officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be officers, Danny Cobb, Dennis Krominga, Jerry Galler, Scott Pettigo, Robert Genova, and Bill Goodman from the Lewisville Police Department.

Georgia is survived by her husband, George of Sanger; Daughter and Son-in-law, Janan (Holcomb) and Jim Bob Kline of Sanger; Sister, Ivalee Borchardt of Garland; two brothers, James E. Freed and wife, Carolyn and Mickey R. Freed and wife, Sandie all of Lewisville; and her granddog, Gracie.

Memorials may be made to the Scottish Rite Hospital or the First Baptist Church.
