KATHERINE W. PENICK
Katherine Waddell, daughter of James A. and Euphemia Stuart Waddell, was born at Middleport, Ohio, November 6, 1862, and died at Omaha, Nebr., November 12, 1946.
On November 16, 1880, she was married at Mason City, West Virginia, to William B. Penick. Shortly after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Penick came to Chariton where they lived until a few years ago when she went to Omaha to make her home with her daughter, Martha Aten and family.
She was a member of the D.A.R., the P.E.O. Society, Delphian Study Club and the Women's Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Aten, of Omaha, and Margaret Lisher, of Ft. Dodge, one grandson, Roger Lisher, and three granddaughters, Virginia Lisher, Kathryn Aten and Margaret Stoutner and two great grandsons, Jeffrey and Clifford Stoutner.
Episcopal funeral rites were held in Omaha. Burial service, conducted by the Beardsley Funeral Home were held Saturday, November 16, at the Chariton cemetery.
The body was accompanied to Chariton by Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Aten and daughter, Kathryn, of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lisher, of Fort Dodge, and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd F. Stoutner, of Keota.
