Ronald Adams, 72, of Wilburton, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, in Wilburton.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilburton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Cocke Jr. and the Rev. Udell Wolff officiating. Burial will be at Wilburton City Cemetery under the direction of Jones-Harkins Funeral Home of Wilburton.
Born July 7, 1931, in Lutie, he was the son of Ernie and Vina Adams. He was a lifelong resident of the Wilburton area, where he taught industrial arts at Wilburton Public School.
He served in the Army during the Korean War and graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in construction engineering.
He married Donnabell Muncy on June 21, 1981, in Wilburton.
(note: This marriage date is questionable as his first wife Dixie V. Varnum didn't die until July 1981.)
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a Mason and a member of the VFW in Wilburton.
He was a fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Donnabell Adams, of the home; a son, Randy Adams and wife, Becky, Edmond; three grandchildren, Ronald, Lauren and Amelia Adams, all of Edmond.
Also, one sister, Elna Wadley and husband, James, of Purcell, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Larry Gean, Terry Carter, Jim Wynn, Lionel Young, John Shero and Charles Adams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Bowers, George Cuzalina, Bill Green, Carlous Naylor, George Kennedy, Ray Johnston and Lloyd Gray.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, wife, Dixie V. Adams.
