Services were held Monday, June 22, 1981 for Dixie D. Adams of Wilburton. Mrs. Adams passed away Friday, June 19, in Wilburton at the age of 50. Services were held at the Jones Funerailiome Chapel with Rev. Victor Letbetter and Rev. Milton Moody officiating. Mrs. Adams was born February 14, 1931 in Amorita, OK. She taught classes of English and Spanish at Wilburton School for years. She was a member of the Methodist Church and a member of Eastern Star and AAUW. Survivors of Mrs. Adams are her husband, Ronald; a son, Randy Adams of Edmond, OK; her mother, Mrs. Golda Varnum of Wilburton; and a brother, Harold Varnum of Mesa, AZ. Interment followed the services at the Wilburton City Cemetery, under the direction of Jones Funcral Homc. Serving as pallbearers were, Lionel Young, John Sokolosky, Mike Duncan, Kenneth Hamilton, Carlos Naylor and Seldon Taylor.
