V. Donnabell Adams, 86, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, in Edmond. Memorial services are will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Wilburton. Arrangements are under the direction of Wadley's Funeral Service of Purcell. Born Oct. 21, 1926, in Tecumseh, Neb., she was the daughter of W.T and Laura (Garrison) Muncy. She spent her younger years in Kentucky before the family moved, graduating from school in Nebraska. She continued her education at Westland College in Missouri. She received her master's degree from the Music Conservatory in Kansas City. She was the dean of a women's college before moving to Wilburton to become the music director for the Wilburton Public Schools, where she worked until her retirement. She married Ronald Adams on June 21, 1982, in Wilburton, and he preceded her in death in 2004. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing and spending time with her grandchildren. She was the First United Methodist Church organist for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronnie Adams, and her sisters, Emma, Virginia and Mildred.
