Nella was born to Bill and Mary Farmer on March 13, 1934, a lifelong resident of the Barton/Moriarty area.
She was united in marriage to Robert Hensley on August 30, 1951. For many years Nella was active in the congregation of Crossroads Church of the Nazarene (formerly Moriarty Church of the Nazarene).
She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Ann Farmer; her father, W.A. (Bill) Farmer; and step-father, Al Brandt.
Nella is survived by her mother, Mary Farmer Brandt; brother, Alvin Farmer and wife, Donna; and sister, Esther Helweg of Albuquerque; her husband, Robert O. Hensley of the home; daughters, Linda Anderson of Moriarty and husband, Ellan, Karen Hensley Ford of Estancia and husband, Jim; and a son, Bill Hensley and his fiancee, Lill Hermes and her son, Ryan Szabo of Moriarty; grandsons, James Peter Ford and his wife, Dixie and Jonathan Anderson; granddaughters, Julie Ford, Stephanie Anderson, Chrystal Anderson, Stephanie's fiance, Gordon Smith; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
