Graveside services for Mrs. Vennie Lee Campbell Gibson, 93, of Clinton were held at Mizpah Cemetery in Durant at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 21 with Rev. Steve Delony officiating. Southern Funeral Home of Durant was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gibson died on Friday, December 20 at Care Inn Nursing Home in Clinton. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Durant. She was the widow of E.R. Gibson and a former resident of Holmes County where she and her husband owned both funeral homes in Lexington and Durant.
Survivors include two sons, Austin Gibson of Florence and Curtis Gibson of Fort Worth, Texas: one daughter, Barbara Gunter of Clinton; two sisters - Mrs. Edna Maloney of Laurel and Mrs. Pearl Leard of Waynesboro: six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
