In an automoble accident Sunday three year old Jacqueline Kay Cross, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Cross, 5593 DAvison Rd, Elba, was killed when she ran into the path of a car in front of her home. Funeral services were at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 8, 1949 , at the Methodist Church in Elba.

Jacqueline Kaye Cross, 3, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Crosss of 5593 Davison Rd, Lapeer, was killed at 2:30 PM Sunday when struck by an automobile in fromt of her home. Sheriff Leslie C. Mathews said the child was playing near the road with her brother, Joseph, 5, and suddenly ran into the path of a car driven by Clarence Wilson, 6236 Davison Rd. She was taken to Hurley Hospital but was dead on arrival. The driver Clarence Wilson, 41, told police he sounded his horn as he approached the child and her brother Joseph 5 ran out of the way, Wilson said, the girl ran in front of his car.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, Nov 8, 1949 from the Methodist Church, Elba, Michigan, Rev Fred Wagner, officiating. Burial in Davison Cemetery., Davison, Michigan. Remains will be at Groves and Co Funeral Home in Davison Michigan until time of service. Death was sudden due to an automobile accident. She was born in Goodrich, Michigan, December 28, 1945, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Milton Cross. Surviving are: Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Cross; sister , Mona Jean, 4 brothers, James, John, Joseph and Robert all at home; Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Don Howell of Davison and Rev. and Mrs. Walter Hallead of Davison, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
