Mrs. William Ralston, who died recently in Caledonia, at the residence of her son, William Ralston, was a native of Argyleshire, Scotland, and came with her husband to Boone county in 1842, and was one of the pioneers of the settlement. She was a life long consistent member of the Scotch Presbyterian church. She raised a family of ten children, all of them an honor and pride to her declining years, and nine of whom still survive her.
