Mrs. Alexander Ralston died at her home on 544 North Winnebago street, shortly after midnight Sunday, Mrs. Ralston had been ill several months and four weeks ago underwent an operation. The deceased was born in Scotland 54 years ago and came to America with her parents when only two years old, the family locating at Argyle.
Mrs. Ralston was married 30 years ago and with her husband lived in Argyle until nine years ago, when they removed to Rockford to live in retirement. She leaves no children.
Mrs. Ralston was an active member of the First Presbyterian church and was noted for her charitable, Christian work.
She leaves two brothers and four sisters, Thomas and William of Argyle, Mrs. Duncan McGeachie of Rockford, Mrs. McGeachie, living west of the city, Mrs. John Ralston and Mrs. McEachran of Argyle.
The funeral will be held from the home Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, Rev. Ely officiating.
