CAME TO ILLINOIS IN 1843, DIED ON 82ND BIRTHDAY - MRS MARTHA RALSTON M'GEACHIE DIED TUESDAY AT HOME NEAR WINNEBAGO.

Just 82 years to a day from the time she was born in Argyleshire, Scotland, Mrs. Martha Ralston McGeachie passed away yesterday morning at Winnebago. She had been a resident of northern Illinois since coming here in 1843 as a child with her parents. The Ralstons settled near Caledonia and in 1865 Martha was claimed as the bride of John McGeachie and brought to the farm on the State road within three miles of Winnebago which was her home until the end.

Mrs. McGeachie was sick only two days, death being caused by pneumonia. She leaves besides the husband, a son, William McGeachie. Mrs. James McEachran of Caledonia is a sister and George and Miss Amelia Kerr, nephew and niece. Miss Margaret McGeachie of Belvidere is also a niece.

Owing to the fact that Pastor Circle of Presbyterian church at Winnebago is quarantined because of diphtheria, the services will be conducted by Pastor Fulton of the First Presbyterian church of Rockford. The funeral will be held from the home Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock.

Mrs. McGeachie was a charter member of the Presbyterian church at Winnebago and one of the most devoted to her home and family and her death is mourned by many friends and neighbors.
