Funeral services were held for Welton M. Freeze, 73, of Graham with Rev. Gerald Peterman, pastor of Faith Lutheran church in Graham officiating. He died Tuesay, July 14, in Graham, Texas.

Born July 24, 1918 in Jean, he had lived in Graham most of his life. He served in the Army during World War II and was a retired oilfield driller. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Texas T-Patch 36th division.

Survivors: his wife, Margie Freeze; five sisters - Odessa Whitsett, Tennilee Van Zandt, Merle Gardner, Helen Wright, Faye Fleming; four brothers - Elton Freeze, Earle Freeze, Joe Bill Freeze, and Henry Freeze.

Sgt Welton M. Freeze, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Freeze, Olney, attended Union High. Entered Army, 1936, trained at Ft. Sill, Okla., Texas, Fla. and Mass. Served in Africa, Italy and France. Discharged in 1945.
