Earl Freeze, 82, lived in Jean most of his life before moving to Olney, Texas in 1995. Pfc. Earl Freeze, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Freeze, Olney. Entered Army in 1944, and trained at Camp Hood. Served in the Philippines. Awarded 2 Battle Stars, Phil. Lib. Ribbon and APO Ribbons. Discharged in 1946.

Earl Freeze and Bonnie Loftin were married on 24 November 1940 in Seymour, Texas. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Freeze was a retired oil field worker and member of the Jean Baptist Church. Survived by one son; two daughters; three brothers - Elton Freeze, Henry Freeze and Bill Freeze; five sisters - Odessa Whitsett, Merle Gardner, Tennile VanZant, Helen Wright and Faye Fleming; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter - Angela Lowe.
