Lula Arnold

Mrs. Lula Mae Arnold, 72, 727 W. 6th St., died Sunday evening at Bloomington Hospital.

Born April 30, 1896, in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Andrew J. and Martha Stephens Polley.

Her husband, Clyde R. Arnold, died in 1948. Also preceding in death were a daughter, Mildred Boltinghouse, in 1939, and a grandson, Jerry Boltinghouse, in 1963.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Ketchem of Elyria, Ohio; and Mrs. Carl (Alice) Gobert and Mrs. Gilbert (Viola) Boltinghouse, both of Bloomington, and Mrs. Jules (Helen) Sonneborn of Olean, N. Y.; five sons, Everett of Unionville, Robert of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Harry, Frank and Richard, all of Bloomington; one sister, Mrs. Ray (Blanche) Freeman of Bloomington; 25 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Eastside Church of the Nazarene, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Robert Watson will officiate and burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.

Friends may call at Greene and Harrell Mortuary from 7 to 9:30 p.m. today and from 2:30 until 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
