Viola Boltinghouse, 84, of Bloomington, died 9:23 a.m. Wednesday at Bloomington Hospital.
Born April 16, 1917, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Clyde and Lula (Polley) Arnold.
She was a homemaker and former employee of Indiana University. She was of the Pentecostal faith. The legacy she leaves behind is her love for the Lord Jesus Christ and all her family.
Survivors include one son, Steve Boltinghouse of Bloomington; six daughters, Joan Wicker, Rosie Horn, Sharon Hays, Donetta Willibey, Nancy Hupp and Beth Terrell, all of Bloomington; one daughter-in-law, Paula Boltinghouse of Bloomington; five sons-in-law, Avery Hays, Wade Horn, David Willibey, Eddie Hupp and Ronnie "Moose" Terrell, all of Bloomington; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Arnold of Bloomington; and three sisters, Helen J. Sonneborn and Alice Gobert, both of Bloomington, and Marjorie Kelly of Taswell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Boltinghouse; three grandsons, Jimmy Horn, Bobby Dale Wicker and Christopher Lee Boruff; one granddaughter, Amy Jo Boruff; four brothers, Richard, Nick, Frank and Everett Arnold; and two sons-in-law, Maynard Anderson and Bob Wicker.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel, with Brothers Michael Douglas and Anthony Warner officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may call 2-9 p.m. today and 11 a.m. until services Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Whitehall Pentecostal Church building fund.
