Mickenley Wayne Atchley, 21, of Pocola passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010, in a Fort Smith hospital. Mickenley was the valdictorian of his high school class, loved to fish & was the 2010 U.S.A.PL. Military National Powerlifting Champion in the Men's 165 lb. junior mens division.
Mickenley is survived by his father, John Atchley & wife Kim of Pocola, mother, Deanna Velasquez and husband Oscar of Grove, Okla., a brother J.T. Atchley of Fort Smith, a nephew Zachery Young; grandparents June Vaughn, Betty Atchley, & a special friend Kelly Franklin.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at Keener Freewill Baptist Church with interment to follow at Hawkins Cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be William Dixon, Justin Bollinger, Terry Albertson, and Andrew Neilke.
