Ecil Floreine Ray, 93 of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Friday June 4, 2010 at her home.
Ecil was born March 15, 1917 in Wathena, KS to Hermie and Ecil Bradford.
She lived most of her life in St. Joseph where she was a member of the Community Christian Church and worked for Townsend and Wall and TG&Y.
Ecil married Clarence Ray April 20, 1935 in St. Joseph. He preceded her in death December 31, 1997. She is also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Hermie Leon "Buddy" Bradford FAG#140240712, two sisters, Cordelia Downey and Lee Ida Munroe, grandson, Forest Higdon, great grandson, Tommy Higdon, and a son-in-law, Paul Massey.
Surviving are three daughters, Rowena (Bill) Atkins, Elizabeth (Rudy) Mejia, and Ida Massey, all of St. Joseph; one sister, Marsha Edwards, Eagleville, MO; sister-in-law, Jeanne Bradford, Independence, MO; fifteen grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, twenty-nine great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Community Christian Church with interment in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 12:00 noon, Sunday at the Clark-Sampson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The family requests memorial gifts to Community Christian Church.
