ALLEN KINGSLY BOYD, BIOGRAPHY
Allen K. Boyd, 88, of 5011 86th Place NE, Marysville, Snohomish County, Washington, died September 12, 1973 at his home.
He was born February 19, 1885, in Boydtown, Crawford County, Wisconsin to Robert William Boyd and Martha Jeffords. Allen had lived in Los Angeles, California, for many years where he had been a foreman at the Goodyear plant and for Douglas Aircraft Company before retiring. He had been a resident of Marysville for the past nine years. He was a member of the Machinist Union in Los Angeles.
Allen married Minnie May McDermott, on October 21, 1909, in Carrington, Foster County, North Dakota. On October 21, 1969, Allen and Minnie celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary with friends and family in attendance.
Mr. Boyd leaves his wife; Minnie May (McDermott) Boyd, of the home; one brother, Richard Boyd of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin; a sister, Mrs. Goldie DeVorick of Houston, Houston County, Minnesota and many nieces and nephews. Allen and Minnie had no children.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday (September 15, 1973) in the Schaefer Funeral Home, 804 State Avenue, Marysville, Snohomish County, Washington with Rev. W.L. Johnson of Marysville, United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Everett, Snohomish County, Washington.
