MINNIE MAY (MCDERMOTT) BOYD, BIOGRAPHY
Minnie May (McDermott) Boyd, 96, of Marysville, Snohomish County, Washington died December 31, 1989.
She was born December 01, 1893, in Clinton, Missouri, the fifth of six children (Harvey McDermott, Edith McDermott, Blanche Gertrude McDermott, Nannie McDermott, and Frank McDermott) born to Edward McDermott and Arimda "Minnie" J. (Shields) McDermott. Minnie had lived in the Marysville area since 1964.
Minnie May McDermott married Allen Kingsly Boyd, on October 21, 1909, in Carrington, Foster County, North Dakota. On October 21, 1969, Allen and Minnie celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary with friends and family in attendance. Allen and Minnie had no children of their own.
Minnie was preceded in death by her husband Allen Kingsly Boyd in September 12, 1973.
She is survived by two nephews, Roland and Wilfred McDaniel, of Everett; a niece, Gladys Stordal of Cook, St. Louis County, Minnesota; and several other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 04, 1989, at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, in Everett, Snohomish County, Washington with Pastor Peter Brashler officiating. Interment will follow in Cypress Lawn Cemetery, Everett, Snohomish County, Washington. She will be buried near her beloved husband Allen.
Visitation will be held at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, State Avenue, Marysville, Snohomish County, Washington, Wednesday, January 03, 1989 from 2:00-8:00 pm.
